May 11th is the day we thank our moms with their own special day. And while we honor these women with flowers and chocolate, Major League Baseball has found its own way to pay respect to the matriarchs of our lives. Louisville Slugger contributes to mom’s around the world on their day. For the ninth year in a row, Louisville Slugger will donate $300,000 worth of pink bats for Mother’s Day. It’s pretty cool to watch all the big names walk up to the plate with a bright pink bat in their hands. It doesn’t stop at just the bats; on Mother’s Day most teams will wear pink logos, numbers, batting gloves, cleats, and even headwear during their games on May 11th.
