Have you ever wanted to create your own piece of art, literature, a magazine, or book? Then Laurel Highlands Adoxography Club might be the club for you! There, a team of students and staff come together and make great and enjoyable pieces of art that are worthy of the professionalism of a magazine at the dentist’s. If you are looking to be an author but need a bit of help or guidance, this is the best club in the school to do so. Or, if you would want to be an artist or like to draw, the magazines also include quite a bit of pictures.
Still on the fence? It may be helpful to mention that there are rewards for your work. Not only will you have the satisfaction and pride of publishing your own piece, but your work of art will be displayed to the whole school, or even more, if you enter the contest the club sponsors. This contest is nationally recognized, making it a perfect piece for college applications. Plus, who doesn’t need an extra bit of side cash?
As the head of the Adoxography Club, Mrs. Gaster, says, student should ultimately join because, “it's one of the only places where students can have a creative outlet for writing, art, and where they can showcase their talents to the whole school.”
